Cedar Hills City GOLDEN EGG!!!

Welcome to the official site of all things Cedar Hills Geocaching related.
Whether it is the Annual Family Festival Geocaching event, or the Annual Easter "Golden Egg" event you will find the details you need here.

I have been doing Geocaching for 3 years now and have come to find that it is a great family bonding opportunity. I have volunteered to the city to head up these activities for our residence in hopes that you to will have some of the great experiences I've had with my 2 girls looking for "lost treasure" in the world around them.

Geocaching is a free real-world outdoor treasure hunt. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using a smartphone or GPS and can then share their experiences online. (Visit www.Geocaching.com for more info) There are 2,017,957 active geocaches and over 5 million geocachers worldwide. Geocaches can be found all over the world. It is common for geocachers to hide caches in locations that are important to them, reflecting a special interest or skill of the cache owner. These locations can be quite diverse. They may be at your local park, at the end of a long hike, underwater, on the side of a city street, the international space station or the bottom of the sea.

To geocache you need to be a member of the geocaching website (free), but we all aren't or don't want to create a profile. So I've added a few twists to make it easy for the entire family to enjoy without a membership. Hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed putting it together.
Now get out there and find that treasure!
